Binnen het project is er een stadspilot in Arnhem met een zeer innovatief lokaal energiemanagementsysteem dat gebruik maakt van: zon-PV, windturbines, EV-laden, walstroomvoorziening voor schepen en een energieopslagsysteem. Het doel is om emissieloze mobiliteit op land en water mogelijk te maken door integratie met schone-energieproductie met behulp van slimme IT-oplossingen en flexibele energieopslag. In deze stadspilot is Gemeente Arnhem op zoek naar een turn-key contractor/aannemer voor een EPC-scope voor een elektrische-energieopslagsysteem (ESS). Het type ESS-technologie is niet gespecificeerd en de technische vereisten zijn agnostisch gedefinieerd om ruimte te bieden aan innovatieve oplossingen voor energieopslag

Om dit te bereiken, ontwikkelt Gemeente Arnhem projecten voor duurzame energieopwekking en versnelt zij de innovatie via het project CleanMobilEnergy Interreg NW Europe.
